Jurgita Dronina to Dance with The National Ballet of Canada and English National Ballet Next Season
Karen Kain, Artistic Director of The National Ballet of Canada, today announced that Principal Dancer Jurgita Dronina will be a Lead Principal Dancer with English National Ballet in London, England next season. Ms. Dronina will remain with The National Ballet of Canada as Principal Dancer and will be featured in The Winter's Tale, which opens the 2017/18 season, as well as The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker.

Fresh from the performance of "Renaissance" , a 27-minute ballet for 16 dancers to a violin concerto by Mendelssohn and written by Sbastien Bertaud, principal dancer Dorothe Gilbert, one of the "toiles" of the Paris Opera, was a vision of grace in a Balmain creation, an emerald green draped jumpsuit.

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, ballet teacher and friend, Anita Ott Burbage passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at her home. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 28, at 4 p.m. at the Almon Funeral Home Chapel, with time to visit the family at 3:30.

Dance goes digital in an impressive Barak Ballet premiere
In the premiere of "E/Space," Los Angeles choreographer Melissa Barak and her terrific dance ensemble took the Broad Stage audience on a ecstatic and mind-blowing 30-minute ride Saturday in the closing number on Barak Ballet's three-piece program.
